Emdadul Huq is the name of a experienced supply chain professional. He was born in Bagdahar of Nabinagar police station in Brahmanbaria district. He graduated in 2001 and began his career in mid-2002 with a garments company in Chittagong. He worked in finishing section then quality assurance department of the company. He did not work there for long, he moved to Dhaka.

In July 2003, he joined a Top Leading Pharmaceuticals Company of Bangladesh and was hired as a Computer Personnel in the MIS-IT Section under Sales and Marketing Department. He was a quick runner and innovative thinker.

He became proficient in IT by working in MIS section. He was always trying to learn something new through online that kept himself as exceptional then others. His motto was "Stay Online for Findings New".

He did not stay at MIS for a long time. In 2005 he moved to Admin-HR and Commercial Department, where he worked for some days in Administrative, sometime in HR and later in sourcing and Purchasing sections. After a couple of years, he started working with PPIC in the company. In addition to work, he completed an MBA in Finance and Banking from USTC. After the split of Admin-HR & commercial department in the company, he started working independently with Production Planning and Inventory Control (PPIC) under the Commercial Department.

In 2011, he completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management (PGDSCM) from the International Supply Chain Education Alliance (ISCEA) and taken training in Material Management and Inventory Control, Supply Chain Management & Lean Six Sigma from various reputed institutes. As a super user in Oral ERP implementation, he played a leading role in automating the supply chain due to his IT skills.

Having the opportunity to work in different departments of the company and being the only professional supply chain, he easily combines planning, purchase, production, distribution and sales & marketing department and works in an integrated way to increase the importance of the supply chain in the company.

As a result of his efforts, in November 2019, the authorities announced the company's commercial department as the supply chain management department.

Only from his interest in personal education and concentration on his work, he become a skilled supply chain professional from IT, Admin-HR and commercial personnel and kept the supply chain system uninterrupted day after day of a top leading company.
